Bandung City

Bandung City is the capital of West Java Province, and it is a city renowned for its timeless charm. Known since colonial times as the Paris of Java for its beauty and lifestyle, Bandung continues to captivate tourists with its cool air, beautiful landscapes, and vibrant city life.
Geographical Uniqueness
Located on a plateau at an altitude of approximately 768 meters above sea level, Bandung is surrounded by mountains. This geographical feature creates a natural basin that provides the city with fresh air, especially in the northern part. This condition is one of the main reasons why Bandung remains a favorite destination for both tourists and students, earning it the reputation as one of Indonesia's Student Cities.
Strategic & Full of Water Flow
Geographically, Bandung occupies a strategic position in West Java. The northern part of the city, with its higher elevation (approximately 1,050 meters), drains water to the lower southern part (approximately 675 meters). The city is drained by two major rivers, the Cikapundung and the Citarum, and their tributaries, most of which flow south. While providing life, this also makes the southern region of Bandung vulnerable to flooding, a challenge the city continues to face.
With its combination of natural beauty, a pleasant climate, and a strategic location, Bandung is a city that offers a unique experience for every visitor.
