Gili Trawangan Island is the largest of the 3 Gili Islands in Lombok. Gili Islands locates in the northwest part of Lombok. Gili Trawangan is the only island that is a significant height above sea level. With a length of 3 kilometers and 2 kilometers wide, it has about 900 people living there. Among the three dikes, Gili Trawangan is the main island and has facilities for a wide variety of travelers. Most population in Gili Trawangan is in the eastern part of the island.

Gili Trawangan has shades of the crowd more than Gili Meno or Gili Air. It is because many parties every night of the show rotated by some public places. The popular activities frequently performed by Trawangan tourists like snorkeling, swimming, diving, and surfing. Also, the visitor can cycle around the island, see the local people's activity, and be together with them.

The Gili Trawangan, Gili Air, and Gili Meno have no motor vehicles caused it is not allowed by the rule of the local government. Local public transport in the Gili islands is a bicycle, and the visitor can hire from local people. Also, visitors can get local transport to Cidomo with a simple horse-drawn carriage, which is very common in Lombok. The local people and tourists could use motorboats to cross from Gili island to another island.

Gili Island is very popular with a lot of local tourists and foreigners. It causes a tourism promo strongly done by the local government. The Gili Islands supports hotel accommodations, restaurants, public places, tourism spots, and hospitals, and clean everywhere.
