Pangandaran Beach

Pangandaran Beach is the most famous beach tourism spot in the West Java area. It Locates in Pananjung village, approximately 92 kilometers south of Ciamis little town. Pangandaran Beach is part of the southern Java Sea with beautiful landscapes, vast territory, fine sand, crystal clear water, and clean.

It is one of the tourist attractions and has been well known since the Dutch Colonial time. In the Japanese war period, it was mainly on the Gulf coast that Pananjung never made the landing on the Japanese army. Some Japanese caves use as places of settlement or hiding for Japanese soldiers who intended to attack the Dutch soldiers. The beach has a background of Pananjung nature reserve, rich in flora and fauna. It also provides an opportunity for visitors to see sunrise and sunset as well.

It has a characteristic sloping beach with clear water and waves between ups and downs relatively long, allowing the visitors to swim safely. Besides, Pangandaran Beach is also available to rescue teams in coastal tourism. The neighborhood roads condition is paved smoothly, adequate roads are also be enabling factor that makes Pangandaran Beach become one of the favorite tourist spots. Surfing, jet-ski, snorkeling, and boat rentals can cross over the white sand and sea coral underwater with ornamental fish.
