Mount Rinjani

Mount Rinjani is one of the active volcanoes, and it locates on Lombok Island of Nusa Tenggara. The mountain is the second-highest volcano in Indonesia, with an elevation that reaches 3.726 meters above sea level with latitudes 8º 25' and 116º 28'. Mount Rinjani is one of the favorite places for climbers or nature lovers from Indonesia and abroad to get beautiful landscape surroundings. It is part of the Indonesia National Park in Nusa Tenggara, and the area ​​is approximately 41,330 hectares. It is 76,000 acres from west to east.

Mount Rinjani is under three districts, is East Lombok, Central Lombok, and West Lombok. It has a caldera cone Rinjani with an area between 3.500 meters × 4.800 meters, extending towards the east and west parts. In Segara Anak caldera, there is a breadth of 11 million square meters with a depth of 230 meters. Water flows into the lake and forms a beautiful waterfall and charming, flowing through a steep ravine.

Segara Anak abundant fish, often used by local people for fishing. With the blue color of the water, they will be like kid ocean lakes and are called Segara Anak. At the southern part of Segara Anakan, there is a new caldera with a size crater of 170 meters × 200 meters, with a height of 2.296 meters above the sea. The last eruption of Mount Rinjani was in the year 2004 and right now is inactive normally, and more visitors do adventures and enjoy the beauty of sunrise and scenery from the hilltop.
