Ubud

Ubud is a peaceful village, and a nice place lies in Gianyar, Bali. It is very famous among foreign tourists because of its location between fields and forest, the edge of an abyss, and mountains. The scenery is beautiful, natural, and fresh air surrounds it.

Ubud is very well known as the center of arts and culture that developed very advanced. The Ubud life community can not live separated from the art subject. Ubud village has many art galleries like traditional music and dance performances. The art performance is held alternately every night in all corners.

Ubud is very much popular with Western tourists at the beginning of 1930. The German painter Bruno Walter Spies, and the Dutch painter; Rudolf Bonnet settled in Ubud by that time. They were aided by Gede Agung Sukawati of Puri Agung Ubud. Their work's results show at the Painting Museum of Puri, Ubud, Bali.

The terraced paddies of rice cut graphic lines into the lush landscape, and there are dotted with the pink or white flowers of the tropical tree frangipani. As they approached the center of Ubud, the greenery gave way to bustling streets filled with locals and tourists alike, weaving their way in and out of shops, restaurants, and the temple.
